How do I add Selah Translate captions to ProPresenter?

Go to the Captions page in Selah Studio, create a caption link with ProPresenter selected as the integration, and copy the URL. In ProPresenter, create a new Prop, add a Web fill layer, and paste the URL. The captions will appear live on your projection screens. No plugins or extra hardware required.

Should I use a Prop or a single slide for captions?

We recommend using a ProPresenter Prop. Props persist across multiple slides and can be loaded or cleared independently, so your captions stay visible as you advance through your presentation. Adding to a single slide limits captions to that slide only.

Does this require NDI?

No. Selah Translate uses standard web URLs that ProPresenter can load via its Web Fill feature. This is simpler than NDI and works without any additional networking configuration or hardware.

Can I show captions in multiple languages on different screens?

Yes. Create multiple caption links — each targeting a different language — and assign each to a different ProPresenter output or stage display. You can also choose to show only the source language, only the translation, or both on each link.

Will it work alongside my existing slides and lyrics?

Yes. You can overlay the lower-third caption display on top of your existing ProPresenter content using a Prop, or use a separate output screen dedicated to captions.

Can I show just the source language for captioning without translation?

Yes. When creating a caption link, enable only the "Source language" toggle and disable "Translated language". This displays captioning-only — perfect for accessibility or hearing-impaired attendees without needing translation.
