Language Pair
A combination of source language and target language used in translation, defining the direction of translation (e.g., English to Spanish).
Understanding Language Pair
A language pair refers to the two languages involved in a translation: the source language (being spoken) and the target language (being translated into). Common language pairs include English-Spanish, English-Chinese, and English-Arabic. The quality and accuracy of machine translation can vary between language pairs, with well-resourced pairs (those with abundant training data) generally producing better results. Some language pairs are "high resource" (like English-Spanish) with extensive training data, while others are "low resource" with less available data.
